James Moverley is a Supporting Photographer at the Centre for British Documentary Photography. Based in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire he has been taking photographs for the last thirty years after he brought his first 35mm SLR. By the age of 22 he had won his first photographic competition, his prize was a box of Ilford photo paper, this inspired him to get his first darkroom and he never looked back. James's work covers a wide range of styles and has been featured in the Leica Fotografie International Gallery on several occasions. His biggest passion is documentary photography, to capture the here and now for future generations to see how we lived, as we do with the work done by those before us.
